Axel Uhl
Dr. Axel Uhl works at SAP as architect in the NetWeaver Development Frameworks group.
Axel received a diploma degree in computer science in 1995 from the University of
Karlsruhe and his doctorate from the RWTH Aachen in 2003.
Starting 1995 he was with ABB Corporate Research where he focused on three-tier
architectures using the Internet and Java and the software development processes
used to develop such solutions. In 2000, he joined Interactive Objects Software
GmbH, designing the architecture of the MDA-tool ArcStyler and contributing to the
OMG standardization process for MDA. In June 2004, Axel joined SAP.
Axel regularly speaks at conferences, has authored several papers on MDA and related
technologies and is co-author of the book "MDA Distilled."
